You can now sign in to onvela with passkeys – no password needed. Just confirm with Face ID, fingerprint, or your device PIN, the same way you unlock your phone.
Benefits: faster sign-in, nothing to remember, and much more secure than a password, since it can't be stolen or guessed.
Your existing password still works. You can set up a passkey in your user settings at https://onvela.app/user_settings.

onvela now fully integrates with OpenAI Codex. That means your entire customer network is available directly while working in Codex — search contacts, retrieve activities, keep track of follow-ups. All in conversation, without switching apps.

Until now, every user could add or remove contacts in groups. From now on, the creator of a group decides who is allowed to – for clear responsibilities and clean contact lists, especially in teams.

You can now add a follow-up date to any note — and onvela brings the contact back to you when it's time.
The best part: it happens in passing. You tell Claude "Call Maier end of next week," and the follow-up is set. Done.
The next morning you ask "What's on today?" and get every contact waiting on you.
No list to maintain yourself. No task slipping through the cracks. You say it once — onvela remembers.

onvela now supports custom attributes: you can define your own fields for contacts and organizations — fully configurable to match your workflow. Whether it's a customer number, contract end date, favorite coffee, or an industry-specific metric: if you need it, you add it. onvela becomes significantly more flexible and adapts to your business, not the other way around.

onvela now offers what are called 'MCP Apps.' This means: within your AI client, onvela now delivers interactive cards, so that for a contact you can see not just the contact details but immediately also activities and groups, without having to ask another question. This makes it enormously easier to see all relevant data for a contact.
In addition, we have simplified the forms for creating and editing organizations and contacts: they are now more compact and clearer, while still offering all functions.

A CRM system quickly becomes very full and cluttered when multiple users work with it. But for your daily work, only relatively few contacts are important — and you don't feel like constantly searching for them, do you?
onvela has something for you: bookmarks! You can now add organizations, contacts, and groups that are especially important to you to your private bookmarks using the 'star' icon. As soon as the first bookmark is created, a 'star' icon appears in the navigation bar at the top — with one click you see all your bookmarks at a glance!

The additional features Tasks/Notes/Groups can now be activated and deactivated individually by account administrators in the settings (menu at the top right).

This evening we have made many improvements available, especially for assigning contacts to groups and companies. On top of that come many improvements to the design of the user interface. It is now possible to:

- Search within companies for contacts and groups to add
- Search for contacts and groups to add
- Contacts added within companies and groups are assigned directly to the company/group
- Email all members of a group via bcc

Brand new: At the very top of the main navigation you'll find the new 'Groups' feature.
Sounds trivial at first, but it lets you cover a lot of use cases:

- Do you have an event with participants?
- Do you have a project?
- Do you have a network of contacts you'd like to write to now and then?

All doable with groups. You surely have even more ideas for what you can do with them :-)
